University of Oregon

Riverfront Bistro

ZGF Architects

Brief: The University of Oregon’s Knight Building 2 includes a first-floor bistro that required a cohesive brand identity and corresponding menu design. The client selected the name “Riverfront,” which served as the foundation for the visual direction developed by the design team. The primary identification sign was designed for installation on a black tile wall. The menu board needed to reflect the established branding while remaining flexible for frequent updates, and was designed to magnetically attach to the existing Rimex-fabricated fume hood. The team also explored the opportunity to incorporate a graphic element on the face of the service counter to further extend the brand within the space.
